US Bank embarks on CES ‘Safari’ to hunt innovation. Hyped

A team from U.S. Bank has visited the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, focusing on banking improvements rather and not on the latest flashy gadgets on display. The US bank, which hopes to make financial services even more user-friendly, were looking for applications that could facilitate the digitisation of retail banking, payment processing and shopping. During a visit to the show a member of the team, Don Relyea, chief innovation officer at U.S. Bank, found a prototype shopping space developed by LG Corp using a combination of artificial intelligence, computer vision and sensors to present personalised advertising to booth visitors based on awareness and analysis of the clothing they were wearing. The team also visited LG’s Health and Wellness Zone.
