Circle, a global financial technology firm and issuer of USDC and EURC, has received a conditional registration as a Digital Asset Service Provider (DASP) with the French Financial Markets Authority (AMF). The company has also appointed Coralie Billmann, a payments industry veteran, to head its licensed operations in France. Circle intends to obtain a full DASP and Electronic Money Institution license under the Autorité de Contrôle Prudentiel et de Résolution (ACPR) to bring its European operations under comprehensive EU oversight. The company aims to comply with the forthcoming Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regime.
