Commercial International Bank Egypt (CIB) has selected IBM’s technology for the integration of their services, including branches, digital channels, mobile and internet banking, Interactive Voice Response (IVR), business processes, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). The move is part of CIB’s digital transformation journey and mission to modernize its IT infrastructure. IBM implemented a microservices architecture using IBM Cloud Pak for Integration, deployed on Red Hat OpenShift, a unified platform aimed at connecting applications and data. This simplifies version maintenance, service governance, dynamic scaling, and service discovery, ultimately enhancing the end-user experience.

Antar Kandil, the Chief Information Officer for CIB, said this adoption of IBM Cloud Pak for Integration on Red Hat OpenShift is a new chapter in their banking evolution. It will provide them with the ability to accelerate development and flexibly integrate new and existing services in one integrated offering, thereby enhancing the customer experience.
