Fintech start-up BharatPe is reportedly under investigation by the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) over allegations against co-founder Ashneer Grover. The MCA has requested details about the company’s operations and actions taken against Grover, as well as questioning the conclusions of a status report filed by the Economic Offences Wing of the Delhi Police regarding financial irregularities at BharatPe. BharatPe has acknowledged the receipt of the notice and is cooperating with authorities. This comes as fintech firms face increased scrutiny from the government and regulatory bodies over compliance and internal governance issues.
