Beem Credit Union, a new credit union launching in Canada on January 1st, 2024, has appointed Sue Britton as its chief innovation officer (CIO). Britton, who has over 30 years of experience in financial services, will drive product innovation at Beem, which is expected to become the second-largest provincially regulated credit union in British Columbia. The credit union will offer personal and commercial banking, insurance, and wealth management services across its 53 branches. The merger of Gulf & Fraser and Interior Savings will provide Beem with approximately $10 billion in assets under management and employ 1,000 people to serve more than 160,000 members.
