Barclays has appointed Na Wei as its Global Head of Leveraged Finance. Wei boasts close to 20 years of experience in the leveraged finance market and has “extensive industry and product expertise, as well as proven leadership skills and a relentless focus on client coverage,” according to a statement.
Barclays has tapped Na Wei to be its global head of leveraged finance, responsible for the division worldwide. Ms Wei has almost 20 years’ experience in the leveraged finance space, and has previously served as head of leveraged finance in EMEA at Barclays. In that role, Wei was credited with helping the company achieve a top three ranking in 2023, up from number seven in 2022. She also helped the company to increase its market share for its top 20 financial sponsors clients. Prior to joining Barclays, Wei was head of leveraged finance at Barclays Capital, leading Asian desk executions and working in the firm’s New York, Hong Kong and Singapore offices. Wei will continue to report to Barclays Co-Heads of Capital Markets Travis Barnes and Tom Johnson.
