NBA champion and entrepreneur Giannis Antetokounmpo has announced the launch of Improbable Media, a production and brand consulting company that aims to support talent and brands in creating content. The company, which is backed by Verance Capital and GPS Investment Partners, will focus on producing content that generates conversation, champions underdogs, and inspires individuals to pursue their goals. Improbable Media’s first project will be a documentary entitled “Giannis: The Marvelous Journey,” starring Antetokounmpo himself, set to debut on Prime Video in February. The documentary will provide an intimate portrait of Antetokounmpo’s rise to success, from his humble beginnings on the streets of Athens to becoming a two-time NBA MVP. Improbable Media also plans to expand into sectors such as men’s and women’s sports, comedy, entrepreneurship, and reality television programming. The company has already produced branded content for partners including Nike, WhatsApp, and Breitling.
