F-Prime Capital has released its 2024 State of Fintech Report, which provides an overview of the performance of the private and public fintech sector in 2023. The report states that the public fintech sector began to recover in 2023, following a correction in the previous year. However, this correction is still impacting the private markets. The F-Prime Fintech Index market cap reached $573 billion by the end of 2023, up from a trough of $389 billion in 2022 but still down from a peak of $1.3 trillion in 2021. The report also notes that high-performing fintech companies saw significant growth in 2023, with revenues growing on average 45% annually. The report predicts that the IPO window will open in 2024 for successful fintech companies.
