FinTech Wales has announced that Starling Bank has become its latest partner. Starling Bank, a leading digital bank, offers personal, business, joint, euro, and dollar current accounts, as well as a children’s card. It was named ‘Best British Bank’ four years in a row at the British Bank Awards. The bank’s decision to scale its business in Cardiff in 2020 has resulted in the employment of over 1,200 people in the city center. Starling Bank joins a thriving FinTech Wales membership, which includes other key Welsh financial services organizations such as Admiral and Confused.com. FinTech Wales aims to develop an ecosystem that encourages and attracts new fintech companies to start or scale up in Wales, with the ultimate goal of making Wales a leading pillar in the global fintech community.
